I came to appreciate the value of great copywriting at an early age. While still in his teens, I wrote a sales letter for his dad’s restoration business that landed a big client in just two days. (And got me a raise in his allowance!)
Since that time I’ve had the pleasure of teaching thousands of professionals how to build sales with smart, effective marketing copy. I do that through his books, my acclaimed in-house training workshops and courses, and the consulting and copywriting I do for private clients.

Why are my workshops and training sessions so popular? I suspect it’s because they’re so hands-on and practical. In fact, participants often become significantly better at writing great copy in just the first hour!
I also write extensively on the topic. My books include The Everything Guide To Writing Copy (Simon & Schuster), Start & Run A Copywriting Business (Self-Counsel Press), and The CMA Guide to Email Marketing (CMA). Another of my books, The Wealthy Freelancer (Penguin/Alpha), won the “Best Business Book” award from SmallBizTrends.com.
When not teaching, training and generally obsessing about helping my clients and audiences “get smart” with their copywriting, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter. I’m also an avid skier and cyclist, which means he’s bored silly in the spring and fall!
